On months with 5 Sundays, we do something completely different for church.  We call it FIVE SURPRISE and it is often an "out of church" experience serving in the community, feeding the hungry, cleaning parks, loving our neighbor and neighborhood.  Sometimes we have drum circles, Gospel bands, and meditation stations.  No matter what we do, you always know the 5th Sunday is a day you don't want to miss.  Because "church" is more than a noun, it's a verb and it augments how we walk in the world!

    5 Surprise, June 30, 2013:

Serving at the Ronald McDonald House

Email Faye to sign up for the breakfast shift.  She will let you know what time to meet at BerkChurch to caravan over and what food items are needed.  Breakfast is served from 9:00- 10:00.  We hope the morning crew can make it back to BerkChurch in time to see the lunch crew off.

Email Catherine to sign up for the lunch shift.  This team will meet at BerkChurch at 10:00 for a blessing and will be on the road by 10:30 or 11:00.  Lunch is served between 12:00 and 1:00.  All food must be cooked at the Ronald McDonald house.

If you are able to contribute any of the above items, please let Faye know by emailing her here.
